We're Moved In!!!!

I thought this day and post would never come. We moved into our beautiful new home last Friday!!! I love it so much and can't wait to share some pics with you soon. God has blessed us so much this past year. He gave us a perfect healthy baby boy and a wonderful home. Thank you Jesus! We are still settling in, but enjoying every minute of it. Jameson adjusted fine. He is sleeping in his room and crib and his sleeping schedule hasn't changed at all. I am so thankful for that because I was worried he wouldn't like the change. Lilly, my sweet dog, is not adjusting as well. She barks all the time because there are more noises, she doesn't know where to sleep, and she is having trouble remembering where her tee tee pads are in the house. I feel really sorry for her right now. She kind of just wanders around smelling things and looks at me like I have done something wrong. I know eventually she will adjust. I am still in the adjusting stages as well. I can't believe we are actually in the house now. We have been talking about it for a year and it is finally happening.

Jameson is still growing and I think I fall more in love with him everyday. My heart is so full of love for him. You know that feeling you get when you look at them and they smile those pearly gums at you. He loves to smile too. He smiles at everyone and everything all of the time. Even when he is tired and cranky he manages to squeeze one out at you. He is also talking more and more each day. He has his whisper voice and his loud voice and uses both of them regularly. It is hilarious. The doctor told me I could start feeding him baby food, but I don't want to because it means he is growing up. However, I know I have to soon. The other day I was eating and he was sitting in my lap. Every bite I would take he would follow with his eyes or try to take out of my hand. I know he is ready, but I am not. It makes me sad to think he can eat baby food.....I am being crybaby I know, but I don't want him to grow up. He is almost 5 months old!! I can't believe that. Anyway, Rusty and I are enjoying him so much right now and he is so fun. I love to watch him learn and figure out new things. Speaking of learning new things, he has learned who Santa is. He has been such a big boy and hasn't cried at all. He had his picture made with Santa at daycare and looks so cute.

This weekend Rusty and I are going to see Tran Siberian Orchestra at the BJCC. I can't wait. The tickets were an early Christmas present from Rusty. I will let you know how it is. We are on floor level!!

I am off all next week so I might not get to blog. If I don't, I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas. We are so excited this year to share our Christmas with Jameson. I love Christmas! Thanks for reading. Merry Christmas!

Craziness and a check up

Well, I haven't posted in a while. There is a lot to update you on. The Camp house has been crazy the past couple of weeks. Sometimes I feel like I don't even have time to breathe! :) It all started the week after Thanksgiving. On Sat. Jameson started coughing and sneezing again. He had gotten a cold 2 weeks earlier and I thought he was over it. Well it came back. Next, we went to take Christmas pictures that Sunday. I was praying that Jameson would smile and be a good boy. He was perfect, cheesin' in every picture, laughing, and then it happened. He threw up all over his cute little Christmas sweater. Not once, but twice. When I say threw up, I mean out of every hole possible. It came out of his mouth and nose. He looked up at me with those big eyes like, "mommy what is happening." Needless to say that ended out photo session. We did manage to get some really cute shots though.

I was afraid he had gotten the virus, but he didn't throw up any more. The next day (Monday) Rusty called and said, you need to pick J-Man (his nickname) up from daycare I've got the virus. Ahhhhhhhh.....:) So anybody who knows me knows that I am a HUGE germ freak. I keep germ x and lysol in stock at all times. I think of things that no one else would ever think about. Like cookies on a tray at Christmas.....they look nice, but are a breeding ground for germs to me. I refuse to eat anything on a tray. I digress. I managed to quarantine Rusty from Jameson and I and cleaned like a mad woman until he was better. Wednesday we went to the bank to sign the official papers on our house. That statement says enough. My stomach was in my throat the whole time. When you see 6 digits on paper and you sign saying you can afford those six digits it gets you a little nervous! :) On top of all of that, we are in the process of moving and packing up things. Now we are living out of two houses and I am ready to live in one.

Now, you may not have wanted to know all of that, but I wanted to share why I haven't had time to blog lately. With all of that being said, we are moving into our new house this week and I am so excited. I have pictures I will show you soon.

Yesterday I took Jameson for his 4 month check up. He weighs 15 lbs. and is 25 inches long. The pediatrician keeps telling me he is a big boy and smiles at me. He had to have his shots, but did great. He only cried for a minute and was fine once I gave him a big ole hug. Also, he has started sleeping better. Praise the Lord! Thank you for all of your prayers. Keep praying....it is working. I have regained some of my sanity back. He is so cute. He has discovered that he can squeal now. He does it all of the time. If I ever sit him in his bouncer or swing he starts doing it until I look at him. When I finally give him some attention he just grins at me and starts again until I look at him again. He is so cute. I love him so much that sometimes I think my heart will explode. I'll pick him up and just want to squeeze him so hard. I love him and am so thankful for my precious perfect little boy.

Hope all of you are doing well. Thanks for reading about my family.

Quick Update and Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope everyone has a great time as a family this year. I know I am. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for the sweet words of encouragement, understanding, and prayers. It means the world to me to know that I am not alone. I felt incredible guilt for venting on you guys like that, but I am so glad that I did. Thank you for your prayers as well. Jameson has been doing much better with his sleep. I am so happy to be typing those words. The other night I was so desperate for him to go back to sleep that I flipped him over on his tummy. He was out like a light and slept until 6 am. The next night I did the same thing and he slept 5 hours straight. So I now lay him on his tummy to sleep and he is only waking up 1-2 times now and can usually get himself back to sleep. I am still waking up a little more to go in and check on him, but I enjoy watching him sleep so peacefully. He was not peaceful when he was on his back. Anyway, I know it is because of your prayers and thoughts. Thank you again for listening and for your kind words. Have a great Thanksgiving. I am very thankful for my friends and family.

Good News

Ok....I am finished with my pity party. I mopped myself off the floor and I am better now. Thanks for letting me get it all out. I know I sound selfish, but I am really not trying to be. Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention that Jameson is just as happy as can be. The no sleeping isn't bothering him at all.

I wanted to change gears a minute and tell you that we are just a few weeks away from moving into our beautiful new house. I can't wait. Russ, his dad, and my brother have been working so hard to get it finished. Rusty wakes at 4:30 some mornings to work on the house an hour before he goes to work. He has done such a great job and will be able to look back on it one day and tell our kids what he did. I am very proud of him and this accomplishment. We are closing on the 15th of Dec. Just over a year since we started breaking ground. We are so excited and can't wait to move in. I will be posting pictures soon.

Vent

I have been debating on writing this blog for a few days now. I didn't want to sound whiny, ungrateful, selfish, or come off as being a bad person, but I decided that I might get some helpful advice and it just feels better to get it out sometimes. So please don't judge or think I am a horrible person for what I am about to say. I just need to talk. My little Jameson is still not sleeping. We are starting out 8th week now. I am exhausted to the max! You all know what comes with sleep deprivation.....crankiness, crying, yelling, depression....all that good stuff. I have experienced all of those at one time lately. I am emotionally, physically, and sadly enough spiritually drained. You also know that Satan preys on those who are sleep deprived as well, or at least he does me. I used to lay awake at night begging God to let Jameson sleep and give him peace and rest. Lately I have been laying in bed at night asking God why he would do this to me and finding myself very angry. I have even gotten to the point where I don't want to pray anymore for rest or sleep because He hasn't answered any of my other prayers. I know that God answers "yes, no, and wait". My answer right now must be "Wait". I just don't understand why we are waiting. How can He see me depressed, crying, angry, tired, resentful, etc. and not do something about it? That is my biggest question right now. Not only is my relationship with God hurting, but my relationship with Rusty is non existent, and at times, as bad as I hate to admit it, I just want to take Jameson and leave him at Gam's or GiGi's(grandmother's) for a few hours just to have a break! Why would God allow this to happen? To add to the pile, we are STILL building our house. Rusty is STILL outside all day and all night working. He comes home from work says "hi", goes out to the new house, works until supper, goes back out to the house, comes in and we go to bed. We have no relationship and I have no help. The other night I was so close to slapping him in the head if he snored one more time. While I am up with Jameson or laying in the bed arguing with God, he is steadily snoring. I love him to death and I know he is stressed to the max with the house, but come on. Also, you all know Christmas is quickly approaching. Christmas also requires money and time to buy presents. Well, I have no time to shop and little money to do it with due to the house. So that also has me all stressed out. Now, all of this being said, I love my life, my husband, and Jameson more than you will ever know. I wouldn't trade these sleepless nights for anything because it means that my Jameson is alive and well. I know that there are so many people who would love to wake up at night with their baby if they could just have one. I do not regret having Jameson. I love that little turkey to death. I know that Satan is attacking me right now. I also know that God will provide the money for Christmas and the house. I know that this is a season I am going through and it will end as quickly as it came on, but I am to my breaking point and have no one to talk to. So I blog! I also know that sleep deprivation makes things seem so much bigger and worse than they really are. I am aware of all of this. I just needed to get it out. Please know that I am so thankful for all that God has provided for me and my family. I am in a valley right now and can't see the top of the mountain. All I ask is that you pray for my spirit and that God will answer our prayers for sleep soon. I hope you don't think any less of me and know that I am only human. Thanks for reading.

Trying New Things

I am constantly trying to get Jameson to do new things. I know sometimes I try to get him to do things he is way too young to do and have to remind myself to enjoy the stage he is in now and not miss something becasue I want him to move forward. When I am at home with him I feel guilty if I don't do the ABC's or colors, or some type of learing activity. I know I shouldn't, but I just feel like the time we are awake we could be learning something. When he was smaller, he didn't like to lay on his tummy at all. He would always cry and want to be picked up. I was constantly worried that he would never learn how to crawl or lift his head if he didn't lay on his tummy. Well, as he has gotten older he has gotten better. We have been working on our head and he can hold it up so good now. Here are some pictures of us practicing with our boppy. He was more interested in eating it than lifting his head. He can lift up on his elbows now and it makes me so proud.

I have also been working with him to teach him how to roll over. He is getting better, but usually just lays there and looks at me like I am crazy. Here he is trying to finish a roll over that I started for him.

We have also been working on sitting up. I got a bumbo seat at one of my showers and decided I would try it a few weeks ago. He kind of looks scared in the picture and kind of looks like he is dancing. He can sit in it much better now, but I thought these pictures were cute.

And finally, he has started sitting in his swing, but only for 30 minutes or so and he refuses to go to sleep in it. When he gets sleepy, he starts crying. I was so proud of him for sitting in it while it was moving that I had to take a picture. Here are some other random pictures that I love too. Sorry this is so long, but I haven't updated in a while and I have too many cute pictures to share. Thanks for reading and keeping up.

Halloween Fun

Well, Halloween was a blast! Thursday night was trick or treat in Ashland due to the football schedule. So, we went trick or treating at my mom's house and Rusty's parents house. Jameson was a horse and looked sooooo cute. Bella, my niece, came over and we attempted to take some pictures of them together, but Jameson wasn't having it. He was not a happy camper Thursday night. Here is the picture to prove it!

So, on Friday night, we went to our best friend's Brandy and Jonatha's house in Moody. Maddie was a bumble bee and was so cute! We strolled Jameson and Maddie around the neighborhood and let everyone see how cute they were. People kind of looked at us like we were candy thief's and were using out kids as the bait. Ha Ha....I just told everyone Jameson was for looks. He didn't ride in the stroller for long, as he never does, so I carried him half way around the neighborhood. That little horse got heavy. By the time we got back to Brandy and Jonathan's house he was pooped out and asleep in my arms. He slept all the way home in his horse costume, hoofs and all. We had a really good time and can't wait until next year when they can walk! Here are some pictures of him pooped out and some other random Halloween pictures. Oh, my friend Abby also took some posed pictures of Jameson in his costume. They turned out so cute. Here are a few of them as well. Thanks for reading.

Sleepy Head

Well, my little man has decided for the past two weeks that he doesn't want to sleep through the night anymore. I feel like he is fresh out of the hospital again! :) I have no idea what the deal is. I don't know if he is going through a growth spurt, if he is getting cold or hot during the night now, or if he just doesn't want to sleep. I am exhausted again and I know he has to be too. He has been waking up at random times too. He woke up the other night at 11 and 12:30. So I fed him at 12:30. I try to soothe him back to sleep if he wakes up really early because I know he can make it 6-7 hours without eating. It usually works, but not always. I have also increased the amount he eats before he goes to bed to see if that works. Last night he only woke up at 12:45 and 4:00 so that was better than the 3 and 4 times I was getting up. I think I re-read "Babywise" yesterday for answers. It only overwhelmed me and made me feel like a terrible mom because I can't get him to sleep through the night. I need advice from all you experienced moms out there. Have I gotten him off schedule or is he just needing more to eat. Give me advice. I am all ears.
Oh, we had a great Halloween. I will be posting pictures of his cute costume soon. Thanks for reading.

Happy Birthday!

Today is my sweet husband's birthday! He is 27 years old today. Wow....we're getting old. I just wanted to take this time to wish him a happy day and tell him how much I love him. I absolutely love birthdays. I start announcing my birthday like 3 months before hand just to remind everyone. I change my ring tone on my phone to happy birthday, I tell everyone I know, and if they made a shirt I would probably wear it. Anyway, Russ is totally opposite. So I wanted to make a big deal about his birthday for him by listing some of his amazing qualities and accomplishments.

01. He is an amazing husband and father.
02. He can do just about anything you ask him to (i.e. building our house with his own two hands).
03. He is very easy going and fun.
04. He is very caring and loving.
05. Good friend.
06. Extremely smart (especially in math) He tutors me sometimes. We like to do percentages because I am terrible at that.
07. A Christian with morals and a good heart.
08. Great at vacuuming the floors and couch.
09. He rarely gets mad at me or argues with me...which I don't know how he does because sometimes I want to yell at myself.
10. Finally, he has a tremendous amount of common sense and helps keep me on track all of the time.

The list could go on and on, but I will stop there. Thanks for being a great husband and I am so glad that you were born. God made us for each other and I am so thankful to have you in my life. I love you and hope you have a wonderful day.

Oh, by the way, my birthday is coming up in January. I can say this because it is only 3 months away. :)

Reaching our Milestones

I looked back at my blog since I have had Jameson and re-read all of them. It is amazing at how many milestones we have reached and accomplished. I sounded so exhausted and scared in my earlier blogs (because I was). I needed help with feeding, sleep, daycare, etc. God has provided for every situation. Jameson is doing well in daycare and does great with bottle and breastfeeding combined. And quite possibly the biggest prayer being answered right now is the sleeping situation. My little monkey has been sleeping 6-8 hours at a time for about 2 weeks now. I am so proud of him. The first night he slept until 4 am I was already awake because my body had been programmed for 1, 3 and 4. I woke up at 3 and ran to the nursery to see if he was breathing. It was so funny. Once I realized what had happened (he has slept through the night) I went back to bed; however, I was so excited that he had slept so long that I couldn't go back to sleep. I just laid there and smiled. We still have a few nights where he doesn't like to lay down and will wake up, but I just go calm him down and he goes right back to sleep. He wakes up every morning around 5-6 and wants to get in the bed with mommy. I started that and blame myself for it, but I am starting to love it. He is usually awake when Rusty leaves for work in the mornings and he brings Jameson and puts him in the bed with me. I love to snuggle with him and get a few more hours of sleep with him right next to me. It works out great with my work schedule and I think he likes it too. As you know all moms think their child is going to be a genius. Well, Jameson Camp is already showing signs of being a genius. He has reached all of his milestones plus some. I was reading the other day about what they should be doing at certain ages. He is already doing things they say he should be doing at 4 months! He already tries to stand up, he can hold his head up, and he can half way roll over on his side. :) Isn't it funny how you get so excited over little things like that. Anyway, I think he is going to be very smart and reach all of his milestones early. Lets talk teething now. I am wondering about my little man. He drools so much and constantly has to have his hands in his mouth. He will soak your shoulder in 5 minutes with drool and if you ever put him on his stomach it will just drip out. I am wondering if he will cut teeth pretty early too. Another cute thing he has started doing (which I try not to let happen), is suck his thumb. If he ever wakes up in the middle of the night you can hear him sucking away on that thumb through the monitor. I don't want him to be a thumb sucker for fear that he will be way too old with his thumb in his mouth, but he is just so cute when he does it. I was a thumb sucker and didn't stop until I was in the 4th grade. I don't want him to be like that. One more thing I didn't update everyone on was his 2 month check up. The dreaded immunization visit. It was three weeks ago, but I just realized I didn't tell anyone about it. He weight 11lb. 13 oz and was 23 1/2 inches long. The doctor smiled and said, "he is a big boy". Anyway, it came time for his shots and I was more nervous than he was. He did really good and only cried for a minute. As soon as I got him up and held him he was fine. I thought the ride home would be horrible, but he slept all the way. He didn't run any fever and it didn't appear to phase him at all. We go back in December for our 4 month check up and I am assuming there will be more shots. He is 11 weeks old today. It seems like I was just in the hospital having him. I love him more and more every day. This morning he was looking at me as I walked out of the daycare and it broke my heart. I know he doesn't know what is going on right now, but those little eyes are so cute and sweet. OK, this blog is long enough. I had more to say than I thought. I will try to blog more often so they are so long in the future. Tomorrow's topic will be Halloween (my favorite time of year)! Thanks for reading.

All Grown Up

I am quickly realizing that I am finally growing up. I saw a picture of Me, Rusty, and Jameson together and we look like a real family. It is weird to me because until now I have kind of felt like I was just babysitting for a really long time! It is finally hitting me that I am a mom. I love it! So this weekend was eventful. Rusty was nominated by our church to be a Deacon.....yes you heard me right. He is a Deacon. Now, I know you are saying, "how old is he again", but it is true. I think he made church history as being the youngest Deacon recorded. It says a lot about his character. The church is saying they trust him and love him. I know he will do a good job and I am proud of him. I told him I didn't think I could be a Deacon's wife....I guess I have no choice. So, Sunday was his ordination and it was wonderful. Jameson got all dressed up for his daddy and he looked so cute. I have pictures to prove it, although he was much cuter in person. Who says you can't dress little boys cute? He had his little Ralph Lauren shirt and khakis on for his daddy. He stayed in the nursery during the service, but my mom brought him out for everyone to come by and greet us after the service. I felt so proud to stand up there next to Rusty and hold my little man. My heart melts every time I see that cute little face. (Rusty's and Jameson's) I miss him alot today. I didn't want to leave him at daycare at all this morning. I was surprised to find a lump in my throat this morning as I drove away. We had such a good weekend I just didn't want the fun to end.....and he was talking to me as I left this morning. I never knew how sweet an "Ah-Goooo" could sound. He is smiling and talking more than ever now and I love it. We are all doing well and almost finished with the house. I am praying we are in by Halloween and Rusty is laughing at me. It won't be long though. Thanks for reading and keep in touch. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy. Oh, Jameson got some cute shoes from GiGi and I took pictures of them like a nerd. They are so cute! Also, I thought the picture of Jameson in the carrier was funny because his little head is just poking out like, "here I am".

Look at that little belt!

Isn't he soooo cute!

Getting his certificate as Deacon.

Cute feet huh?

15 things I am not afraid to admit

Everyone else was doing this so I wanted to join in on the fun. These are in no particular order....

15. I find it hard to think of things I like to do and interesting things about myself.
14. I am an obsessive worrier.
13. I am OCD about leaving things plugged in and on when I leave the house. I often times turn around and double or triple check things.
12. I have a fear of my house burning down.
11. I love animals more than humans...very sad, but true.
10. I tend to be on the selfish side (sometimes secretly and sometimes openly)
09. I am a jealous person. Mostly when it comes to Rusty. He is just so good looking and I know how women are!
08. I am a perfectionist and clean freak and can't stand disorganization.
07. I have body image issues.
06. I can't stand fake people. Someone is one way with me and another with someone else.
05. I struggle with being a mom. I want to be perfect at it and I am not. I catch myself longing for Jameson to be older. (that is awful I know, but I am exhausted)
04. I like to goof off at work and not really get anything done.
03. I can be lazy at times. I take advantage of nap time when at all possible.
02. I like to bite the skin on the inside of my mouth....gross huh....it's a nervous habit.
01. I still have a security pillow. I call it "yellow pillow". I have had it since I was 2 years old.

Daycare and Job take two

Well, we made it through our first and second day of daycare and work. Today wasn't as bad as yesterday. I think it is because I know I will be a home with Jameson the rest of the week and weekend. Daycare is going pretty good. Yesterday I picked my little man up and he was awake (how else would he be)? They said he had taken a 30 minute nap that afternoon but soon woke up to look around again. When we got home he was out like a light! He slept from 5-7 and I had to wake him to feed him. I also gave him a sponge bath because I felt like he was just covered in germs. :) After he ate he fell right back asleep and I put him down at 8. He didn't wake up again until 1 or so. He was exhausted. The worker said he was just nosey and liked looking around at everything. They say he did good and is smart baby. I agree on that part. Today I arrived at the daycare, started walking down the hall to his room, and hear him screaming. I thought, "that's my Jameson". I got into his room as saw him in a swing. Well, we haven't mastered liking the swing yet so he was miserable. He quickly fell asleep once I got him home and settled. He is so sweet and cute. I just want to squeeze him. All is well and I think we are going to make it. We are still working on our schedule. I am trying to master the "Babywise" schedule. I am not very good at it, but the feeding thing seems to be working. On to other things. I removed all of my pregnancy pictures from the blog, give or take a few. I thought it was time to take them off and fill them with cute pictures of Jameson. We don't have a good family picture yet, but it is coming. I rarely have time to shower and put make up on so I definitely do not want to take any pictures of me. I was sad to delete the pictures, but happy to see what replaced them. Motherhood is an experience no one can prepare you for. I am learning daily and praying that I make the right decisions for Jameson to grow up a happy, healthy, independent, secure boy. That is a lot in one statement. Pray with me as I pray for you all as well. Thanks for reading and staying in touch with my family.

First day at daycare and work!

Today is a tough day. I had to take my little man to daycare for the first time today. I know he is handling it better than I am, but I can't help but worry about him. No one can love him like I do and calm him down when he is throwing his little fits like I do. The minute I walked out the door at the daycare, the tears started coming. I couldn't stop them. I tried to be strong, but I couldn't. He is so cute. He is now 7 weeks old and weighs a little over 11 pounds. He is getting so big and I can feel it in my arms and back! Ha Ha....We have been working on our routine the past week. Everyone lied to me and told me he would "fall" into a routine! That is a big fat lie! He didn't fall into anything. So, I am putting him in a routine. We are on a 3 hour eating routine with playtime and naptime in between. The only problem is the naptime thing. He is still fighting sleep and sometimes refuses to sleep alone. I have to hold him to nap. I blame myself for that, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am now giving this advice out to all of my friends who do not have children yet. Start a schedule the minute they are born!!!! Monday he actually took 3 naps in his crib without me holding him. I was so proud of him. We are growing and learning. He has started smiling now and it melts my heart everytime he does. He especially likes to smile when he wakes up in the mornings. I lay there beside him and talk and smile until he gets tired of it and starts to fuss. :) He has also started cooing and reaching for things. I think he is going to be a genius. We have already started talking about college and ACT scores. Ha!
Moving along to the house. It is still in the process of being built. We are closer than we were last month though! We have some floors down, all the painting is done, doors up, and kitchen cabinets in. It is starting to look like a house. I am getting really excited and can't wait to move into it!
Everything else is great! I am exhausted, but that is expected. Jameson is healthy and Russ is doing fine too. I hardly get to see him because he is always working on the house. Another word of advice to all of you......NEVER BUILD A HOUSE AND HAVE A BABY AT THE SAME TIME!!! That is all I am going to say. Hope you all are doing well and I miss everyone. Thanks for reading and stay in touch! Keep us in your prayers today! Here are a few pictures. I am going to add other pics as a slideshow as well.
The last picture of Lilly is so funny to me. This baby thing has made her tired too.

Our first bath!

Rusty made me put this shirt on him!

Let me think a minute!

Lilly is pooped too!

Sleep....or lack of it!

I love to watch Jameson sleep. He makes the cutest little faces and sometimes not so cute faces. He smiles all the time while he is sleeping. (He must be dreaming of his momma)! Anyway, we are doing well. Still trying to be consistent with our schedule. Some nights he does well and others I think I will scream if he doesn't close his eyes. I have never seen a new baby fight sleep as much as he does. I thought that came when they got older, but he is starting very young! He will stop eating just because he is getting sleepy. I have also never heard a baby grunt as much as he does. He makes this little noise when he is waking up that sounds like a mix between a dolphin and a baby horse. Use your imagination. If I could record it and put it on here I would. It is so funny to hear. Everything he does he grunts. Another little thing that he does is pitch a fit everytime he is in his carseat. He HATES his carseat. We get in the car and within minutes he is screaming his head off. He does that for about 10 or so minutes and then finally calms down. I can't calm him, my mom has tried, and Rusty can't either. I hope he grows out of that soon. I think it is because he likes to move so much and stretch and the carseat just holds him there. I don't know. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!! We went to church yesterday for the first time. I was very nervous that everyone was going to touch all over him, but to my suprise they didn't. It was good. He did so good during church and didnt' get cranky until he got hungry. I was exhausted when I got home though. It is just such a huge thing to get ready and go somewhere. I know that will get easier with practice too. I have some more pictures for you. Most of them are of him sleeping because I think he is just so cute. He is getting bigger and heavier. My back is killing me! We go back to the pediatrician tomorrow so I will know if he has gained any weight. I hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully soon my life will have some type of schedule and I can call some of you and visit with some of you. I can't wait to get out of the house!!! I love being a mom, but I have cabin fever really bad! No one warned me I would be this crazy.
Oh....the house is coming along. We have some floors down, doors up, and lights! It is getting very close. I can't wait for the day! Talk to you soon.

So Cute!
Ok.....I can't get my pictures to upload. You will just have to look at this one until I can get it to work. Sorry.

Weekly Update!

It is killing me not having a computer at my house. I only get to use the Internet on Thursdays because it is family night at my mom's house. So I guess you will be getting weekly updates until I go back to work. Jameson is doing great! I am so full of love, anxiety, pride, and happiness. It is hard to describe. Anyway, he is perfect(you will hear me say that over and over again.) We went to the pediatrician this week and he is a healthy little man. He has gained a pound in 10 days! He now weighs 8 lbs. and 5 oz. That satisfied my fear that he wasn't eating enough. He also grew. He is 21 inches long now. I hope he is tall like his daddy so he won't have short man complex! :0 We go back in 2 weeks and I can't wait to see if he has gained more. I sure hope so. I am doing well. I miss being pregnant like crazy! I still catch myself rubbing my stomach and remembering that he is not in there anymore. Sometimes I will feel something in my stomach and I think, "Oh he is moving" and realize that he is not there. If I ever sit and think about it, I start to cry. That has been my biggest struggle I guess. I loved being pregnant and now that I am not, it depresses me. Don't get me wrong, I am so glad that Jameson is here, but it is like I am alone again. Something possesses your body for 9 months and then all of the sudden it is gone. You feel lonely. I have had many people tell me I am crazy! You can too. My recovery has been amazing. I expected to be sore and complaining for 6 weeks, but I don't even feel like I have had a baby. I am ready to start exercising! I fit into a pair of my jeans today and that made me very happy. I can also wear my wedding rings again. Things are falling into place. Still working on this feeding thing. I am going to have to introduce formula soon because I have a training in 3 weeks for work and he will start daycare in 4 weeks. Pray that he transitions ok and that his tummy will take the change. I have a few more pictures for you. Thanks for all the sweet comments. Keep praying and thinking about us! I still need help. Look how much he has changed in 2 weeks!

He is Here!!!!!!!

My sweet little boy arrived on August 5 at 11:41 a.m. He weighed 7 lbs and 3 oz and is perfect! I instantly fell in love with him and do every day all over again. My labor was perfect and was over in 6 hours. I only had to push for 30 minutes and he was here. It was the most amazing experience of my life. This is something you truly have to experience for yourself to get the full effect. He is sleeping pretty good and is on a 2-3 hour schedule. I call him my little pig because it seems like that is all he wants to do. Enough talk, I have pictures for you to enjoy. He is perfect and amazing! I will update you soon. Thanks for all of your prayers and thoughts. Keep praying that we can be the parents we need to be for Jameson. God is so amazing and had blessed us with this perfect gift! Thank you Jesus.

Proud Mom and Dad!

Glad that is over!

Proud Papa!

Sweet Boy!

In my bouncer!
He has changed since we left the hospital. I think he changes every day. I know he keeps getting cuter and cuter. No one has been able to tell who he looks like yet. I think he has my nose and Rusty's eyes. Only time will tell.

Out for a while

Just wanted to let everyone know that today is my last day at work so I won't be blogging as much. I thought this day would never come and now it is here! I only have dial up at my house and that is incredibly too slow for my patience at this point. I will blog when I get a chance. I will definitely let everyone know when Jameson is here (with pictures of course)! We have a doctors appointment tomorrow. Pray that he keeps us or that labor is quickly approaching. Hope everyone is doing well and thanks for reading. Keep in touch with me because my blog is about to change completely real soon.

Same Ole Stuff

The same ole stuff is still going on in our lives. I am really starting to get a little bored with it! I am still pregnant(but praying not much longer), we are still building the house(but praying not much longer), and we are still going to Lowe's and Home Depot every weekend (but praying never again after the house is finished). I went to the doctor this week and have made some progress(don't want to share too much information). So we got good news and are just waiting for the big day. Only 10 days left! The house is coming along. Rusty and my brother, Stephen, have been priming for about a week and a half and finished it up yesterday. We are on the road to painting and putting the floors down. Everything is coming along. I really just don't have any major exciting news to share so I will turn to TV for a minute.
I am in a state of slight grieving. As most of you heard and let me know, Estelle Getty from the Golden Girls died this week. Most of you know that I am a HUGE Golden Girls fan and have all 7 seasons on DVD. I think I am even going to take some to the hospital with me for distraction! ;) Anyway, it was halarious to see all the emails and phone calls I got from my friends telling me the news. Sophia was a good character and she will be missed. I will just have to go home and watch the Golden Girls even more in honor of her.(Rusty will love that) The Golden Girls are a Sunday morning ritual for me and Russ. While I am in the shower he puts a DVD in for me to get ready to. He is so good to me. I think he really likes the Golden Girls, but just won't admit it around anyone. While we are talking about TV shows, I also love Army Wives. It comes on Lifetime every Sunday night and I am addicted to it. I have watched every episode since last season and haven't missed it since. If you don't watch it, there is a lady on the show who does a radio talkshow for all the army families. She always ends the show with a deep thought and reflection time. Well, my last blog I thought was pretty good and from the heart. I came home a few days later and asked Rusty if he had read the blog. He said he did and started laughing. I asked him what was so funny and he said it sounded like it could be on Army Wives! I really hope that some of you watch this show and can find the humor in it as well. If you don't, it comes on Sunday nights at 9 on Lifetime. Anyway, the next day I got on the computer and read my blog again. I still think it is a great blog, but it kind of does sound like something she would say on Army Wives. I hate to admit it, but Rusty was a "little" right. Ha ha....... If you watch the show this Sunday, come back and read my blog again and see what you think! Just for laughs.
Overall, things are going well. I am ready to see Jameson and hope he comes out soon. I am ready to move into our new house and hope it happens soon. I miss my friends and want to see them soon too. Oh, and just to let everyone know, I would love to see you in the hospital once I have Jameson. I want visitors to come and see us. So, don't think I will be too tired or don't want anyone to come. Just come on whenever you want. Let me just warn you though.....you will be asked to wash your hands at the door. There are way too many germs out there and I don't know what you have just touched with your hands! :) (ending thought for the day)! Hope to see you all soon and I will talk to you later! God is good and has blessed all of us so much. Don't forget to thank Him today.

Why do we think we are in control?

Could someone tell me why we think we are in control? This is a huge stumbling block for me. I like to be in control and do all things myself, that way I know they are being done the way I want them done. Why do we find it so hard to trust God and allow Him to take care of things? He tells us that HE will take on all of our burdens if we just let him. So....why don't we? I don't have the answers, but I struggle with this issue greatly. As you know, I have started a new job, am pregnant, and we are building a house all at once. Whew! People often ask Rusty and I, "What were you thinking". Our answer is, it was not our choice. God is allowing us to build a house and has blessed us with a child. We see it as a blessing, not as a tragic life altering time in our lives. Last night Rusty and I had a little talk (which we don't get to do very often anymore because we are both so busy). The house thing, as well as other stressors not mentioned, are really starting to get to my Russ. Now, most of you know that he is very easy going and laid back all of the time. He usually has to calm me down. The house is about to push him over the edge. Anyway, during our dicussion, we had to remind ourselves that God is in control of all things and He is allowing us to experince these wonderful, but trying times, for a reason. It has been a roller coaster ride for both of us over the past few months and it is starting to wear on us. We are going to make it and have faith that God is going to provide. Keep us in your prayers during these last few weeks of my pregnancy and building a house.

On a lighter note (not much lighter), I had another doctors appointment yesterday (37 weeks) and no exam! I still have no idea if I have made any progress or if labor is close. I think my doctor is trying to torture me! Ha. As long as my little monkey is healthy I am good with that. We go back next week and might actually leave with a little knowledge. I am counting down the days and can't wait. The thought of seeing Jameson's little face is the only thing that keeps me going some days! Thanks for reading and keep praying!

The Madness

I am going to start off today with a little vent time.(Sorry for any guys who read this, you won't understand). Anyway, I went to the doc yesterday for my 36 week check (yes I am already 36 weeks!!). Rusty went with me to be the supportive husband, and we had to get our car seat and stroller at Babies r us after the appointment. So, my appointment was at 2:30. We sat and sat and read and Rusty even took a nap. We waited to see the doctor 2 hours. Rusty and I went back into the exam room and it took 5 minutes! He measured my stomach, listened to the heartbeat, and kindly said, "I will see you next week". I wanted to slap him; however, I know that would not have been the best choice. He didn't even check me to see if I was making any progress (not that I really enjoy that anyway, but I still wanted to know). By this time, it is approaching 5:00 and we have to get on I 65 to get to babie r us! Most of you know what a disaster 65 is at 5:00 in the afternoon. We stuck it out and after almost hitting an 18 wheeler (which Russ says we weren't even close to) and a short melt down from me followed by tears and yelling at my sweet husband we made it to our destination. We finally made it home and about 30 minutes from home I actually started talking to my husband again. Bless his heart! He doesn't understand my actions or meltdowns, but he is a trooper. I do have to tell you that hormones are an evil, evil thing. Needless to say, it was a bad day for the Camps. On a lighter note, everything else is going well. The house is coming along and looking better by the day even though Russ might think differently. He is such a hard worker that he thinks if he doesn't do something everyday on the house that it is not going to get done. The baby is my softspot and the house is Rusty's softspot. He is doing a great job on it. Maybe we will have pictures up soon. We had our final baby shower on the 4th and it was wonderful. We are so blessed to have friends and family who love us and want to provide for us. We are not going to have to buy much at all! God has blessed us so much with the house, Jameson, and all our friends and family. We love all of you and thank God everyday that you are in our lives. So, lots of things going on. The countdown has begun for the baby and the house is hopefully going to be done soon. It is all coming together! This is the longest blog in the world, but you've read this far down so you might as well finish it. Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

I am alive!

Well, I started my new job in Ashland today. I am going to be teaching parenting classes (which is what I did at my old job). I am housed at DHR, but am not an actual worker like I was before. I am going to work full time throughout July and then part time after the baby comes. I am real excited about that. God kind of just threw it in my lap. I still haven't heard if we got the grant for next year, but I am sure we will since it is the only parenting program in Clay County. Everyone just pray really hard that we get it. We won't know unitl mid July or August 1. Until then, I will be completing this grant year full time. I hope I can make it. I don't really have a choice. Oh, the greatest thing about this job is that I have air now. I have not broken a sweat all day long.
Baby news: Jameson is growing and moving more and more by the day. I am still feeling pretty good. Just the usual no sleep, tired, can't bend over anymore, can't see my feet anymore, feel really big, back pains if sit too long, leg cramps, restless leg syndrome at night, and lets not forget...peeing every 2-4 hours at night and during the day! Other than that, I am doing fine. Just kidding...I would not trade anything in the world for what I am going through. I love being pregnant and would be in pain 24 hours a day if I had to.... as long as my baby boy is healthy! I go back to the doctor on Wed. and will start my weekly visits next week. I can't believe I am only 5 weeks away from getting to see his little face. I can't wait and I am getting more and more excited each day. We have had 2 showers so far and have another one on Friday. We have gotten some really cute stuff and I can't wait until Friday's shower. God is blessing us daily and we are so greatful for our family and friends who care for us so much.
House news: Sheet rock has been hung and they are finishing it this week. Siding is going up this week as well. It is starting to really look like a house now. It probably will not be done by Aug. 3, but soon after. Rusty is working himself to death. The other day we were discussing how I am not really able to help with the house and how I wish I could do something. I started feeling kind of guilty and quickly remembered that we have a very even trade off here. I have been making a human being for almost 9 months now and he has been building a house. I think I win this one! When he can't bend over to pick something up or can't sleep because he has heart burn so bad he can't lay down.....then he can say something to me. Actually he has been extremely understanding and patient with me. He does anything I ask him to do and has been very attentive. That is all I ask.
So, all in all we are doing well. I know you get so tired of hearing about he baby and the house, but that is our life right now. Just be patient and keep reading. I will post pictures soon. I just keep forgetting to bring my camera to work. Until next time, have a good day and talk to you soon.
Oh, today is my sweet little nieces birthday (Bella). She is 3 and I want to wish her a Happy Birthday.

Update coming!

Ok....I know I haven't updated in a while, but I have been a mad woman. This is my last week at this job and I start a new one on Monday. I also can't stand to sit in my office (No they have not fixed the air yet) so I will get you an update ASAP on Monday in my nice new air conditioned office. Until then, just know that I am still visiting Lowe's frequently and Jameson is still kickin' his mommma.

No Air!!!!

Well, it has been extremely hot this week at work. Our air is broken in my office. It works everywhere else in the building except in my office and my co-workers office. I think this is an evil trick they are playing on a 7 almost 8 month pregnant woman! It is not funny! The thermostat says it is 85 degrees in here. So, I have been camping out in other people's offices and trying to stay cool. The air doesn't work in the bathrooms either, so you have to pee in a hurry. It is so hot that the toilet seats are warm. I had some chocolate on my desk and it melted. I had to put it in the frig. I felt that the song playing was only appropriate for a time like this. :)
It is Friday again and I am so happy. We are going to see our B-ham friends again tonight and I can't wait. Jill is due next week and we are hoping that Landon will hear how much fun it is on the outside and decide to come on out! Everyone is ready to see him. Anyway, while you are sitting in your nice air conditioned rooms, offices, houses, where ever you are, just think of me sweating it up at work. I am so spoiled to the air I know, but I almost can't handle it. Hope everyone is well. Talk to you soon.

Prayer

Just wanted to ask everyone to keep Rusty and his family in your prayers today. His grandmother died this weekend and her funeral was yesterday. Pray that they will have comfort in this time of sadness. Also, Rusty's brother, Craig, is going to Iraq for the second time in August. He left for Ft. Worth Texas yesterday and was unable to make the funeral. Pray for him and his safety for his upcoming deployment. Now for my family. My dad leaves for Kenya Saturday going on a mission trip with our church. Pray for him and the mission team. They will be gone for 2 weeks. Pray that God will open the hearts of the people that they will be receptive to His words. Hope you all are having a good day!

P.S. Check out the new photos on the side.

Random thoughts

The reason I started this blog was for you to stay updated and for me to occasionally post my random thoughts. Well, today is one of those days. Did you know that today is National Doughnut Day!!!! How tempting is that. I was just talking about doughnuts yesterday. I also read where you can get free KRISPY KREME in some locations. As you know, there is no krispy kreme near me and I am so mad!!! Anyway, I thought I would post that for all of you who do live near doughnut shops. You should go get a free doughnut (or 2) in honor of me today! Also, as you may have noticed (if your speakers are up) I have added two of my favorite songs to my playlist....The Golden Girls theme and Dirty Dancing. These are two of my favorite shows and movies to watch. I absolutely love the Golden Girls and cannot tell you how many times I have watched Dirty Dancing. I can quote lines off of Dirty Dancing. I have made Russ watch it so much that he can even quote a few! It makes me proud when he does :) I just thought I would blog about some of my favorite things today since I am being random. Most of you already know these things about me, but some of you may not. Another one of my favorite things is my niece Bella. She is so cute I could squeeze her to death (which I won't because that would be bad). We ate supper with my mom last night and she was over at the house. She is about to be 3 and can talk to you like she is 20. She is so smart. Anyway, she walked over to Stephen and gave him a big hug and said, "I love you daddy". It always makes my heart melt and I can't wait to hear those words come out of Jameson's mouth one day. Bella is always keeping us laughing and amazes me every time I see her. Just a few more favorite things.....family time, laying by the pool or beach, reading, spending time with friends, and most of all, spending time with my Russ. I guess that is enough for today. I am glad I could leave you with some happy thoughts today. Don't forget the doughnuts! Hope you all have a happy Friday. If anyone needs me tonight I will be at Lowe's! Ha Ha Ha....:)

Not much happening

Well, not much is happening at the Camp resodence. I just wanted to post so you all didn't think I was getting lazy. I will say that I am getting more and more anxious about all this baby stuff. I only have about 9 weeks left and can't wait to see my precious little babies' face. I know he is going to be the cutest thing I have ever seen. It seems like time is going by so slowly now. I am ready for my showers and the "big day" to come. Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant. Each day I get to feel him poke and kick I smile. You can tell he is getting bigger though. You can tell I am getting bigger!!! I went to the doctor yesterday. Everything is going well. My sugar test was good....no gestational diabetes (thank you God)! I don't know what I would do without my milkshake that Rusty makes me almost every night. I gained the most weight I have since I have been pregnant. I am not dislosing that information, but it made me rather depressed. I know I am suppossed to gain weight, but I was happy with my 2-3lb gains every 4 weeks. It was a bad 3 weeks food wise though. I went on vacation, ate doughnuts every night and brought a dozen home with me. Then Rusty went to Montgomery and brought home another dozen. In between the doughnuts I was having milkshakes. So, it caught up with me. I have started my exercising again so maybe I will at least stay toned. I have recently started waking up in a panic over labor. I don't know why, but I have. It is finally hitting me that I am going to have to get the baby out some way and he isn't just going to magically appear. It is exciting, but terrifying at the same time. All of you know what I am talking about. Anyway, I know this is all pretty boring and you are tired of hearing about my pregnancy, but I am pregnant and that is all you talk about when you are pregnant. When I have Jameson, all of my blogs will be about him and not me anymore. So you only have to deal with it a little while longer.
The house is coming along. Maybe in about a month the sheet rock will be up and we can start to paint. That will be exciting. Well, I guess I have bored you to death. Thanks for reading and feel free to post comments if you would like. Update you later.

Memorial Day Weekend

Well, we had a fun filled weekend once again. Friday our best friends Brandy, Jonathan, and Maddie came over to visit. It was a blast because we hadn't seen them in a while. Maddie is getting so big! We took some pictures and they were really cute (except for my BIG belly). Saturday we went to ....I'll give you one guess......Lowe's you got it! Overall it was productive day. I got to plant some flowers and relax a little. Sunday we went to register at Babies-R-Us. It was fun. I let Russ hold the gun so he would have something fun to do. He was a good sport and hopefully learned some things. Toward the end he got restless and started yawning and I knew I was losing him. I was so lost on some stuff and had no idea what I needed or did not need. There are so many brand names of things that I have no idea what I am doing. Oh well.....I have to learn. I am glad that we got it done though and can check that off the list. I wanted to take everything home with me. It made me want Jameson to be here that much more. Monday was another good day of relaxation. We ate some good food at Pop and GiGi's and Gam and Paw Paw's house. I didn't want to go back to work on Tuesday, but the week has gone by pretty fast. We are getting ready for another busy weekend and can't wait. We have a bday party on Sat. and are registering at Target on Sunday after church. Fun times! Anyway, hope I am not boring you and I am glad that you are reading. Update you later. Here are some of the pictures from this weekend.

Happy Family!

House

Ok so most of you know we are building a house which is only by the blessings of God. Rusty and I could not do this on our own and know that God has blessed us beyond measure. He has given us all of this and is blessing us daily. Let me just give you a little background info on the house. Before we started building the house, we began to pray that God would lead us and direct us in the way He wanted us to go. We prayed that He would give us wisdom on the timing of building the house. So after much prayer and saving of money, God allowed us to start construction. We know without doubt that God is allowing us to build this house. In the meantime, we were also praying that God would give us wisdom on starting a family and would bless us when his timing was right. Well, God has a sense of humor. The day we started on the foundation of the house, I found out I was pregnant. So, we know that God has blessed us so greatly and we are so thankful to Him everyday that He has given us these opportunities. I always like to preface things before I show pictures because I want everyone to understand that it is God's creation, not ours. I hope you enjoy the pictures. We are so excited about the house and please keep us in your prayers while we continue to build. It is hard, but God will provide. Also know that I am not bragging about our house, but want all of my close family and friends to experience what God is doing in our lives.

Pictures

Yeah!!! I got it to work. Hope you enjoy. Don't laugh too hard!

Tuesday!

Today is Tuesday....what a boring day of the week! I think I am still hung over from the vacation. I don't really care for Tuesdays or Mondays or Wednesdays. By Thursday I know I am in the homestretch for Friday so it is not so bad. So, I lied about the slideshow for our vacation. I got all the pictures downloaded on Slide.com and can't figure out how to post them on the blog. If anyone knows how, please let me know. I also can't figure out how to post a picture within my post. I want to, but can't get it to work. Shed some light on that too please. Anyway, not much going on here. Just the same ole stuff.....baby thoughts and house wishes. I miss my friends this week. Jill called me yesterday, but I didn't get to talk to her because I was busy and I haven't talked to Brandy in a while. I know both of you read this and hope you get the hint that I need to see you soon. I am so excited about Landon coming soon. Jill only has like 5 weeks left!!! I am also excited that I only have 11 weeks left. I can't believe it! Time is flying by. I can't wait to see Maddie, Landon, and Jameson all in one circle playing together. Maddie is the oldest so she will have to show the guys the ropes on all the toys. I often ask myself, "when did we grow up"? I never believed that one day I would become a mommy. Everytime I look at myself in the mirror or catch a glimpse of my stomach I almost panic. I can't believe that I am actually going to be a parent and have a baby. When did our conversations change from "what do you want to do this weekend", to "what type of bottles and diapers do you use"? It is so funny how God changes your priorities. Anyway, need to do some work and see if I can work on this slideshow some more. Hope everyone has a great day and week. I love you all! Here is a cute picture the girls at Jill's shower!
