Many Thanks!

Well, I received much needed advice from many of you and I appreciate it. It was all positive and uplifting. I still don't know what I am going to do, but I really appreciate all of your advice. I had a good weekend and it was very productive. Of course we made a trip to Lowe's Friday night to avoid as much race traffic as possible. I made the mistake of going to Oxford Wal-Mart on Thurs. afternoon and it was terrible. It was like there was a race inside of Wal-Mart. I only needed hot dog buns and chips. Well, so did everyone else! Isn't it funny how you can tell a race fan from everyone else. They either have really bad tan lines from their sunglasses or are wearing bikini tops with cut off shorts. Ha! The rich race fans always look nicer and are carrying around their coach purses with #88 embroidered on the side of it! (little exaggeration there). Oh and lets not forget the rednecks who break their necks looking at you. It was funny because they would work their way down to my stomach and immediately look the other way. :) My point is, that it was hilarious. I am sorry if any of you are race fans or know anyone who is. I am only joking so don't get offended (even though you know I am telling the truth). Although I was ready to kill....I still got a laugh in. Saturday, I finally got my rooms cleaned out for the most part and they look half way organized and not like big piles of junk. Rusty got to work on the house a good bit as well. We actually have a few windows in and the front porch has been started. The contractors worked all day yesterday on the interior steps. I will be so glad when they are are finished so I can go upstairs and look around. My big tale can't climb the ladder like I used to be able to. I have a very busy week ahead. Thursday is our 4 year anniversary and I can't believe it. Time has flown by. Friday is Jill's shower and I am busy trying to be "miss organized" and it isn't happening. I am a little worried. In the meantime, I have to work and not blog! That is hard to do. Ok well, I know this is boring. Every weekend so far has been the same. I still hope that you enjoy reading! Talk to you soon.

Not a very good week!

I said I would be letting out my frustrations at some point didn't I. I have not really had a very good week. It started off ok, but yesterday and today so far have not been very good. I know I have additional hormones that add to that, but I am just stressed, overwhelmed, and tired all at the same time. My first frustration is the rate at which our contractors are moving. I am not patient, but I think I have done well so far. They really haven't made much progress this week and I am not very happy with them. It has been a beautiful week and I come home every day to see like ONE little thing they have done. Ahhhhhhhh! Don't they know we are on a timeline. Anyway, another thing really stressing me out is my job. I already know that I am not going to want to come back to work after Jameson is born. However, with a new house and baby it is almost impossible for me to stay at home. I have been given an opprotunity to take a part time position in Clay County, but it cuts my salary in half. It would be perfect as far as daycare and me getting to spend some quality time with Jameson as he grows up. I just don't want to miss the "baby times" he will go through after he is born. If I could work a few days and stay home a few days it would be great. The money is the issue! I know that every soon to be mother goes through this. I also know that there are plenty of full time moms that work and have plenty of time with their babies. I have just had so many people come up to me and tell me that he will only be a baby for a short time and I need to spend as much time as possible with him. I also know that taking a part time job is a leap of faith. God will provide, but it is just scary when you don't know how much of a house payment you are going to have. So, I am torn this week. Do I take a leap of faith (which Rusty didn't sound to sure about last night), or do I stay where I am and hope that I don't miss too much. I like my job now. It is pretty low on stress and I like the environment, but I don't get home until 6 each night and on Tues. I don't get home until after 8. He will be ready to go to bed by then. Rusty would also have to take him to daycare each day very early because I don't trust any daycares in this area. So, I would see him maybe an hour each morning and maybe 2 hours each night before bed. I just don't know if it is worth it. I know most of you are moms and have been through this so please give me some advice. I am all ears. I think Rusty tries to understand, but in a way he has no idea. He is wired to be the "provider" and I am wired to be the "nurturer and mother". I think he wants what is best, but doesn't quite get it. I need some womanly input. Sorry this is so long, but I had to get it out.

Weekend

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love the weekend! I hate Mondays and going to work, especially now that I am pregnant. I think all day what I could be doing at home to get ready for the baby and the new house. I am slowly getting into my nesting mode and it is driving me crazy. We have our crib and it is just sitting there in a box looking me in the face everyday saying, "put me together". I am so anxious to get this show on the road while at the same time trying to really enjoy being pregnant. I know it will come to an end so quickly. Anyway, back to the weekend. I have been trying to clean out and move out all of the "junk" Rusty and I have accumulated in the past 4 years. (So I can put the crib togehter) I feel like I am running in circles and getting nothing accomplished. I didn't know I was such a pack rat until I started cleaning things. So, most of Saturday I was knee deep in "junk" and begging Rusty in the middle on his breaks to help me move furniture. (He was outside working on the new house and periodically asking me if he could help.) I eventually told him that I needed him to help when he had time. He managed to move a computer desk and offered to move a bed. I hate to ask him to help because he is working so hard to get our new house done. He is such a good husband! Saturday night we headed to Lowe's (our new favorite place) to buy lumber for our porches. Russ broke a sweat and I watched! :) We could only get half of the lumber and had to make another trip to Lowe's on Sunday for the other half. A trip to Lowe's is becoming a Saturday night special. We don't go anywhere without at least stopping by. It is all working out and we are getting closer each day to having a new home and family. God has blessed us greatly!

I had to do it!!!

Well......after seeing everyone's very cute blogs, I decided that I just had to do it too. I love reading everyone's storys and keeping up with your families. I thought, since Russ and I are about to have a baby and are in the process of building a house, I would start a blog to get out all of my anxieties, frustrations, stresses, and elations! Also, most of you (my closest friends) are out of town and this will be a great way for us to stay in touch. I can not promise that I will blog everyday, but I will try to keep you updated. Also, I will periodically post pics of our house progress (since many of you ask) and maybe....just maybe, a pic or two of my ever blooming belly! This is a very exciting time in our lives and I couldn't think of anybody better to spend it with than my closest friends and family. I am new at this and have no idea what I am doing, so be patient. Thanks for shedding the light on blogging! I am sure people have been doing this for years and I am just now catching on :) Ha.
