Yesterday afternoon I decided to pull out all my Christmas decoartions to re-evaluate what I have. When we moved into our new house, we just stored all our Christmas in Rusty's storage building. We have had chipmunks living in the storage building for a while now, and they jump at Rusty when he gets stuff out. I think it is hilarious and have favored the chipmunks in the past. Afterall, they are such cute little creatures. Well no more Mr. Nice guy! Most of my Christmas stuff was in hard plastic totes, but a few items were in zip up soft plastic. The chipmunks decided they would make nest upon nest in all my Christmas decorations in the soft plastic. It was disgusting! I had to throw most of it away. So....no more feeling sorry for the little chipmunks. It is on!!!!
I would have taken pictures for you all, but I was too disgusted.
On the other hand, it is Thanksgiving and I am very excited. It is the one time a year my mom makes dressing. It is delicious and we beg her to cook it all year long, but she refuses. I think she just likes the control! :) This time 2 years ago I was pregnant and didn't know it. I ate the most I had ever eaten in my life and had no idea why! Fun times!
I am thankful for so many things in my life. I am thankful most of all for my beautiful healthy child, my wonderful husband, my family and Rusty's family who love us so much, my health, jobs,......the list could go on and on. God has blessed me beyond what I deserve.
Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; his love endures forever!
I will tell you one thing I am not thankful for......those blasted chipmunks!! Alvin and the chipmunks has a whole new meaning now.
Everyone have a great Thanksgiving! Eat lots and lots of good food and enjoy it.
