The Verdict

We had a good doctor's visit the other day. The doctor said he "believed" it was childhood asthma. Boooo.... It is not as bad as it sounds. Jameson will supposedly grow out of it by his first or second birthday. They didn't do any tests, which I was worried the most about, because he didn't have any symptoms at the time. They did a chest x-ray, but Jameson was a big boy and got a sticker for being so good. The doctor said that one of his tubes going into his lungs was enlarged which is a classic symptom of asthma. The good news is that he didn't give us anymore meds and actually told us to take him off of his medications in about 2 months. If he continues to have symptoms after we stop the meds, then we have to go back. So, we are just praying that our sweet boy will stay healthy and not have anymore symptoms.

Everyone at the doctors office just loved him. He smiled and waved at everyone he saw and they just loved his big blue eyes. He is so cute and is developing his little personality now. He loves going places and loves to smile at everyone. His little wave is the cutest thing I have ever seen. He has also started saying, "uh oh". It doesn't matter what he is doing, he says it. We have also been sleeping much better which is a huge relief for me. I am not quite as exhausted anymore. However, I know this could make a turn for the worst at any moment so I am just thankful for each night he sleeps. Thanks for all of your prayers and thoughts.

Here is a picture of my stinker crawling into the dishwasher. He loves to sit in it while I unload the dishes. I usually have to do the dishes while he naps or this is what happens.

One more thing, I have the new "followers" icon on the blog. If you follow my blog I would love to see you up there. Please join. I am curious to know who all reads my random craziness of a blog.

So glad to hear that the visit went well and that it seems to be a minor issue. I know that is a HUGE relief to you guys!

Also glad that he has started sleeping better. Patrick was always a pretty good sleeper, but has gone through bouts of waking up and wanting to cuddle or to sleep with us or for us to sleep in his room. It's exhausting, I know, and just this morning in my prayers I was thanking God that (for now at least) we are out of that habit again. I'll keep your rest in my thoughts and prayers though, as it makes such a difference in the way you feel and function!

Much love to you guys!
