Beach Trip

Well, we just got back from the beach. We had a blast, but I am so tired. I truly understand the phrase "I need a vacation from my vacation". This was Jameson's first beach trip and he loved it. He loved the beach and pool. I was afraid he wouldn't like all that sand, but he jumped right in. The ocean was his favorite. This was our "big" family vacation. My parents and my brother, sister in law and niece went too. Everyone was a big help with Jameson. I don't know if I could have made it without them. We had a blast and I wish we could do it again. Here are some cute pictures. I took several, but will only share the really cute ones.

On a side note, have I ever mentioned that I LOVE "The Bachelorette"? Most of you probably know this, but I am addicted to it. I have been since the first season of "The Bachelor". I know it is silly and fake, but for some reason I am drawn to this show. Rusty and I don't watch much TV at all, but I have to admit that when Jameson goes to bed every Monday night, I hit play on the DVR. Anyway, Monday night was the finale and it was full of drama. She ended up picking the "nerd" guy, but they seem like they really like each other. They say they "love" each other, but I don't know how anyone could fall in love in only 6 weeks. I call it "infatuated" with one another. I don't really know where I am going with this.I guess I just wanted to share a little piece of me since I always talk about Jameson and my family. I like reality TV. There I said it.

One other silly thing...... Last night Rusty and I were in one of our silly moods and asked the question, What if our tongue was called a "licker" instead of a tongue. It was one of those moments where our "tickle box" got turned over and we continued the silliness with:

"Ooch I bit my licker"
"My licker hurts"
"Is my licker red"
"I can touch my licker to my nose"

It is one of those times that you just had to be there, but wouldn't it be funny if we did call it a licker?? :) Every so often Russ and I will come up with the silliest things that no one else would ever think was funny. That is why I know God made us for each other and we are perfect together.

Ok....pictures now.

I like this picture alot. Dana took it of my brother and Bella and me and Jameson. Just one of those good memories pictures. It is a little small, but I copied it from my computer instead of my camera.

Dancing Queen

Most of you who read my blog know that I LOVE to dance and most of the time if there is music anywhere I become a "dancing queen". Dancing makes me so happy and burns calories too! When I got pregnant with Jameson I always secretly hoped that he would "inherit" my dancing skills and not Rusty's. I want him to know how to move and have some rhythm. So I have been trying to get him to dance when his toys play music and take every opportunity to dance in front of him when I can.(Most of the time I look really stupid). Well.....the other day I thought I noticed him bouncing when he was playing with a musical toy, but didn't see him do it again. Yesterday he was playing with a toy and started bouncing every time the music would play. I was beaming and Rusty could tell. It made my heart happy to see my little man bouncing to the music. There is no hope for him. I will teach him how to dance!

4th of July Fun

We had a great 4th of July weekend. Friday we celebrated at Pop and GiGi's house with lots of food, swimming and fireworks. Thanks Pop and GiGi. They always know how to entertain. Saturday me and Rusty went on a date and Sunday we ate with Gam and Paw Paw. It was delicious! It was nice to relax and have fun.

Nothing much is going on right now. Just regular stuff. Jameson's first birthday is quickly approaching and it is really tearing at me. I didn't expect to feel this way, but I can't help but be a little sad. Time really is flying by and my baby is getting so big. He is starting to look like a little boy in all of his pictures now. He is adding a few words to his vocabulary....slowly but surely. We play peek a boo and I say, "where's Jameson" and he will put his hands over his eyes and say, "tee tie" aka "pee pie". He can also say "two". I start counting with one....and he will say.."twwwwoooo". It is so cute. He is also starting to understand what I am saying. He will point to things if you ask him where they are and go get certain toys if you ask him to. He amazes me every day. He is such a joy and I love him so much.

Ok..this was supposed to be a short blog, but I got carried away. Thanks for reading. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Already trying to teach him how to play!

This is what happens to my laundry if I don't fold it immediately. Jameson likes to push the basket to the other room and sit in it. Maybe he is going to be my little helper. He loves the dishwasher and laundry so far!

Play Date and a Party

Sorry I haven't posted in a while...I have no excuses. Anyway, Jameson recently had a play date with his new friend Griffin. Griffin is a month or so younger than Jameson and we thought it would be fun to see them play together. So last Friday morning Jameson, Maddie (my BF little girl), Griffin and Julia(Kristen's kids) all met and played. Maddie and Julia play well together and it was real fun to see Jameson and Griffin. At first they just kind of stared each other down and then decided to touch. They were really laid back all morning and played so well together. It was cute to see. My pictures are a little bright because I had the setting wrong on my camera and didn't realize it.

Checking each other out!

Playing hard

Arent' they so cute.

Maddie Pie!

Saturday Me, Rusty and Jameson hit the pool at Gi Gi and Pop's house. We had lots of fun. Jameson likes to take peoples glasses off and wear them. He won't wear his own, but he will wear "big" glasses. Here is a picture of him with my sunglasses on.

Yesterday my cute as pie niece, Bella, turned 4. We had a little party for her at my brother's house. It was a blast and Bella got lots of cute stuff. We put Jameson in Bella's wagon and pulled him around. He loved it. My brother also has a dog, Buddy, who loves to jump and lick. He was licking all over Jameson and he was lovin every minute of it. We had lots of fun. Bella is such a joy to be around. There is always something new and funny coming out of her mouth.

Father's Day

My extremely good looking husband and my adorable baby boy....who looks just like his daddy!

Father's Day was a blast. It was really fun to celebrate Rusty and his being a dad. He won the youngest father award in church and he was very happy about that. We started the day off by going to church and later eating with my dad. We then went home for a quick nap and up again to a birthday party where we celebrated Riley's birthday and father's day with all of Rusty's brothers and dad. We got home late and Jameson was pooped. We had a really good day and I am so glad that we got to celebrate it this year!

On Saturday, we were able to take Jameson to the "big boy pool" over at Gi Gi's house. He looked adorable in his trunks and muscle shirt. He also had some sunglasses and a hat but would have nothing to do with them. He absolutely LOVED the pool. He sat in his float for a while but realized he could splash more if me or Rusty held him. So the float got pushed to the side and Jameson had to be in the water to splash. He was so cute. Of course I got my camera out to take pictures and the battery was dead. Luckily Gi Gi was there to the rescue and took some shots, but I don't have them to share with you. Just trust me, he was so cute. It was incredibly hot, but we got in some much needed family time.

Hope everyone is well and having a great summer. Thanks for reading.

My baby is growing up

I think Jameson is growing by the day now. I swear he is heavier in the mornings when I get him up than he is when I lay him down. He is getting into so much now and is a mess. He loves going outside. All the windows I put in my house are coming back to haunt me now. He crawls over to them and points and says, "sssssssssss". I think he is trying to say "outside". I don't know what he is saying, I just know it is cute.

I bought Jameson a float for the pool a few weeks ago. Rusty's parents have a pool and they just happen to be our neighbors. How convenient is that????? Anyway, I am so excited to put him in the big pool, but the weather hasn't really been cooperating lately. I went ahead and blew up his float and put it in the floor. His eyes lit up the minute he saw it. He crawled over to it and sat right in it. It was so funny to watch. For about an hour he would crawl in.....and crawl out. ....crawl in......crawl out. Every time he would get out of it, he would look at it and smile. When he would get in it, he would look at me and smile.

I am also happy and sad to report that he took his first steps last night. For a week or so now, he will let go of things and kind of step toward me, but last night he let go and walked about 6 steps before falling. Me and Rusty were so excited and started clapping for him and he looked at us like we were crazy. He is going to walk any day now and it makes my heart happy and sad. I am happy because he is growing and developing, but sad because he is getting so big so fast. His birthday is in about 6 weeks and I can't believe it. My baby will be 1!

He actually had bubbles on his chin that looked like he had a beard. It was really funny, but you can't tell in the picture. It is still a really cute picture and I had to share it.

Everyone else is doing well. We are just still busy. Softball, aerobics, work outs, work, parenting (my favorite), finding time to cut grass (Russ's favorite) and lots more. I love my life and my family. Thanks for reading and thank you to my faithful readers who left me comments! Keep reading!

Wacky Wednesday

It is really not all that wacky, I just wanted something that rhymed. :) Nothing much is going on right now. I am just running in all different directions. I am bound and determined to tone up for the summer. I don't like the way I look and I still have that little baby pooch that is driving me insane! Anyway, I have started an aerobics class three days a week...which we hardly meet that often..gurr. I have also been working out during lunch at the Wellborn Gym with my gorgeous husband. He motivates me to get muscles. Thanks sweet! I am also playing church league softball. We had our first game Monday night and it was so much fun. So between all the exercising I am also working, cooking, cleaning and trying my very best to be a good mom. Have I mentioned to you guys lately that I LOVE being a mom. Jameson brings me so much pride and joy! He is getting cuter by the day. His personality is in full swing and boy does he have one. Anyway, I don't have any cute pictures or anything, I just wanted to give a short update. Hope everyone is doing great!

One more thing...well two more things. I really hope that I have more than 3 followers to my blog. I want to know that you read my blog!!!! If you don't want to join as a follower, just leave me a little note in the comment section to let me know that you are there....even if I don't know you! Secondly, I have added some "wise words" on the left hand side below the pictures. I like to write down or save neat quotes whenever I hear them. So, I have included a new section to my blog. Hopefully I can add more soon. You may not even be interested in this, but I feel the need to tell you. ok...now I am rambling. Have a great day and thanks for reading. Don't forget to let me know you are reading......:)

Great Weekend

Yes I am posting about this past weekend and it is almost the weekend again...sorry, I have been busy. We had a jammed packed weekend of fun. Friday Jameson made his very first trip to the zoo. He wasn't very interested in anything, but we managed and I think he had a good time. We went with my very best friend Brandy and her very cute Maddie girl. Was it stressful...yes, did we have meltdowns...yes, did we make memories....yes. Overall it was a good trip.

Looking at the Flamingo's. Jameson wasn't too sure about those pink birds. They were making lots of noise and I am not real sure what he is thinking. Maddie looks amazed!

The Peacock was about the only thing Jameson really seemed interested in.

On Saturday Jameson had his first experience in his new little swimming pool. The weather was so nice. He splashed around and really seemed to enjoy the water. I think he thought he was just taking a bath outside. He looked so cute in his little swim shorts. I can't believe how big he is getting.

Rusty was cutting grass and Jameson kept waving at him from the pool. It was so cute. It was like he was saying, "hey dad, look at me".

He was amazed with the bottom of the pool.

Splash! Splash!

Saturday afternoon we went to my nephews 2ND birthday party and then went to Home Depot for a minute. The party was a blast and Jameson had lots of fun playing with Elijah's new toys. When we got to Home Depot I decided I would let Jameson ride in one of those massive buggies that look like a race car in front. Jameson loved it. As soon as I buckled him in, he immediately put his hands on the wheel and started driving that thing. It was so cute. I didn't have my camera with me, but GiGi took a picture of him driving. By the way, I think you have to have a CDL to drive one of those things. It was huge.

We had a weekend of many firsts and it won't be the last. It was good times and I just love my little man so much. I am so glad that we get to enjoy doing things together.

A moment.....

I just wanted to take a moment and thank God for my family and friends. Most of all, thank Him for giving me a happy, healthy baby boy. I have heard and know so many people who have lost their children lately and who have children who are fighting for their lives. I am so thankful that God has blessed me with a healthy child and pray that he continues to bless my family. I am also humbled and ashamed that I would even complain about my life or everyday little things that mean so little in the big scheme of things. When we were at Children's Hospital last week I saw a few sick children with all types of tubes and IV's. I thought to myself at that moment....."how do these parents do this"? They have strength beyond anything I could imagine. I was humbled and heart broken all at once. I knew at that moment that God had blessed me beyond what I deserved and He could take it away at any moment.

God works through all situations and I am thankful today that He has opened my eyes to that. Thank you Jesus for loving me,my family, my friends, and most of all my sweet little boy, Jameson.

The Verdict

We had a good doctor's visit the other day. The doctor said he "believed" it was childhood asthma. Boooo.... It is not as bad as it sounds. Jameson will supposedly grow out of it by his first or second birthday. They didn't do any tests, which I was worried the most about, because he didn't have any symptoms at the time. They did a chest x-ray, but Jameson was a big boy and got a sticker for being so good. The doctor said that one of his tubes going into his lungs was enlarged which is a classic symptom of asthma. The good news is that he didn't give us anymore meds and actually told us to take him off of his medications in about 2 months. If he continues to have symptoms after we stop the meds, then we have to go back. So, we are just praying that our sweet boy will stay healthy and not have anymore symptoms.

Everyone at the doctors office just loved him. He smiled and waved at everyone he saw and they just loved his big blue eyes. He is so cute and is developing his little personality now. He loves going places and loves to smile at everyone. His little wave is the cutest thing I have ever seen. He has also started saying, "uh oh". It doesn't matter what he is doing, he says it. We have also been sleeping much better which is a huge relief for me. I am not quite as exhausted anymore. However, I know this could make a turn for the worst at any moment so I am just thankful for each night he sleeps. Thanks for all of your prayers and thoughts.

Here is a picture of my stinker crawling into the dishwasher. He loves to sit in it while I unload the dishes. I usually have to do the dishes while he naps or this is what happens.

One more thing, I have the new "followers" icon on the blog. If you follow my blog I would love to see you up there. Please join. I am curious to know who all reads my random craziness of a blog.
